Exeter Rural Farm House

What makes this custom home unique is the material from the property that was repurposed and used throughout the home.  A large black walnut tree was cut down and milled by the owner – Deslandes Construction then used the wood for shelving surrounding the two-story fireplace in the family room and landings along with treads on the main staircase.  Rustic wood was salvaged from an old barn and converted into paneling and beams in the office.  New material purchased and installed included hickory wood flooring throughout the first floor, IPE decking on the covered rear porch and Hardie plank siding on the entire exterior.
